Connect with Fellow YPs
There Are Plenty of Ways to Engage
Whether you are looking to volunteer, attend an event or just get to know your city together — the Greater Omaha Chamber Young Professionals can help you engage in your community. Sign up for our YP emails below or search through our online engagement directory for more specific groups you may want to connect with.
So you can engage.
So we can hear your voice.
So our community can flourish.
The Young Professionals Summit is the only personal/professional development conference of its kind in the region. It’s about harnessing the collective energy of 1,500 YPs to empower each and every attendee. We know you want to make your mark on the community. Let’s connect that passion with opportunity as we educate, collaborate and engage at the marquee event for YPs in Omaha.
Mark your calendars on March 4-5, 2021 for this groundbreaking event.
State of Our City
Our City. Your Seat at the Table.
Envision the Greater Omaha of tomorrow and learn how we can collaborate to make it happen at our annual State of Our City event, an action-oriented one-day event designed to catalyze our Young Professional community.
- An update on Omaha’s recent developments, initiatives and tripping points
- Active, facilitated conversations about GOCYP’s target values: Arts/Culture, Community Development, Transportation, & More
- Engaging guest speakers
- And of course, an after-party to continue the conversation and make new, long-lasting connections
INTRO is our “Get to know your city” event to welcome new Omaha interns, transplants, faculty, staff and residents to the area through a fun and welcoming environment.
Newcomers: Get to know some new friends and feel at ease to be able to call Omaha your home.
Locals: Share stories and recommendations of the best ‘things to do’ in town. Discover new places or fall back in love with the old.
Everyone: Experience our community and soak up some summer together.

We host, co-host and promote events all the time which are geared towards young professionals’ engagement, entertainment and personal development.
Join the Council
Council members apply and are selected for three-year terms. They meet monthly and represent young professionals at a number of community events. For the past 10 years, council members have helped plan the Greater Omaha Young Professionals Summit, our flagship event.
